For reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I've had this song stuck in my head for two days now. Not quite my usual thing, but somehow, I like the sound of it.
Ghost Town from Shiny Toy Guns on Vimeo.
For those interested, the unrated uncensored version is at World of Wonder. Honestly, I'm not sure it gains much from all the tongue and boobies. (I will admit to having a mild urge to ask Glen Hanson, the artist, "So, really, what's with all the ginormous bosoms?" But then, I expect it's work for hire, so I would imagine that ginormousness was specified.) The lyrics, as is very very very very traditional by now, have nothing whatsoever to do with the video, but are in fact a fairly typical song of disaffected youth, entirely sans zombies, succubuses, incubuses, randomly pierced people riding each other across the wasteland, or anything like that.
Shiny Toy Guns is also apparently having a free concert somewhere in the city. The local NBC affiliate was running a contest for tickets that was supposed to run through noon today, but it closed WAY early. Apparently, they've got a lot of fans here.
