Sadly, grievously and most unfortunately, there aren't as many secret gay clubs as you might think.
See, my assumption the hygienic habit in question would be to agree with the first assumption -- but not in a moralistic way -- and to wonder why otherwise reasonable adults want to look as though puberty has not yet arrived in a certain critical area ... and why other otherwise reasonable adults would want their partners to look like that. (Also, that thing that they talk about at the end? First, I'd think Probably Not, and second, a Deeply Scarring Mental Image.)
