Oh, so THIS is what the "Whatever" GN is: KARL STEVENS - The Phoenix

And regarding what I said in that review about Dave Stewart's Zombie Broadway aspiring to be a B-movie? Make that a B-Movie Musical.

Is that Zombie Broadway thing for real even though the blog entry has an April 1 date?

The trailer is only an ad for the comic book, which is most definitely real; I own it and reviewed it. There isn't, I wouldn't think, going to be a Zombie Broadway movie musical. Although it would be fascinatingly, gloriously bad.

I can't find your previous reference to Whatever, but I read Karl Stevens' strip every week in the Phoenix and the other day, you may remember, I commented that I wished he and the Big Fat Whale guy would switch strips more often ... although, in a perfect world, what we'd get would be Stevens' art and McFadden's sense of humor. I have not rescinded that opinion. Stevens' strips are beautiful and are as boring as hell. Every week he writes a show about nothing, which would only work if 1) you were Seinfeld and 2) you were not unrelentingly bleak, existential, and hopeless.

P.S. Mr Comics Writer Bigshot:

When I link some comics I expect that YOU, if no one else, will follow the links, see?

Although it's possible you did and just did not connect the dots, in which case you are forgiven.

In fact, I did follow the link, and didn't connect the dots. "Whatever" is an awfully generic title, after all, and the list I had didn't show an author.
