Huh. So there may, in fact, be a reason for the peculiar name of Jezebel Jet. Which would make Batman RIP connect to Final Crisis and Death of the New Gods, as well as indirectly to Seven Soldiers. Hmm.

Somehow, one suspects this will not end well.

I know this feeling. So very very well. Except for the art bits, of course.

Who knew puns could be THAT gross?

I can't figure out what's more eyeroll-worthy: that people actually noticed this and cared that much, or that the company felt forced to respond. Although "your breasts should be back to normal soon" is kind of priceless. (Inquiring minds want to know: are the male characters also so ... er, heroically endowed?)

And they all lead to getting bitten in the ass.

And in other world news, I can't believe that they got Nathan Lane, Cheyenne Jackson and Tony Roberts to do this. Also, that Nathan Lane would be willing to make a joke about Sean Cody. (Um ... I think I would err on the side of assuming that this video is NOT SAFE FOR WORK, due to Adult Language, Extreme Shirtlessness and Dance Belts A-Go-Go. via towleroad.com)

Someone else on my flist posted that video today, and the instant I finished watching it, I thought, "I have to send that to Iain." And then I promptly forgot, but at least you found it on your own. Nothing in the least bit gay about it, is there?

No, not even the slightest bit gay. (Inquiring minds still want to know if Nathan Lane actually knows what Sean Cody is, or if he was just delivering a line.)

Mind, I actually never knew they made flesh-tone dance belts; I always thought they were tuned to the color of the costume rather than the color of the guy's skin.

I really like the name Jezebel Jet. Very sorry I didn't think of it myself.

Well, as I said elsewhere, "Jezebel Jet" is a terribly tone-deaf name to give a black woman character in this country (http://www.ferris.edu/jimcrow/jezebel/), so it's nice to think that there may have been a reason other than that it sounds interesting (which, to be sure, it does) and that Morrison isn't American and so is unaware of that aspect of our history.
