To answer the questions in frames 6-7 in order:
No
No
Good heavens no!
...That might be intriguing ... but still, no.
However, I'd still probably use that ringtone.

...No, I suppose that wouldn't do, would it?

Sadly, this does not kill the cravings forever. Only for a few weeks, sometimes even a month or two, and then they return, phoenix-like. Only greasier.

I point out, purely for the sake of accuracy, that the other infomercial guy isn't in jail. The general opinion of the police and district attorney seems to have been "You're both a bunch of yobbos and we want nothing to do with you, bitten tongue, bruises and all. Get outta here. Shoo." (In an interesting side note, the reason that Offer/Shlomi wasn't fired as spokesperson for Shamwow for what was, to put it mildly, very bad publicity is because he seems to own the company, or, at the least, is the administrative and technical contact for its website. Always nice to have some job security in these times.)

I point out, purely for the sake of argument, that the question still remains unanswered.

You know ... I bet they did, too.

I wonder how many people actually remember Melissa?

...I have never before seen quite this interpretation of Jonathan Livingston Seagull. (And, again, kind of surprised anyone even remembers that book.

Strangely enough, that seems to be more or less the world's take. (On the other hand, there is also the uncensored version that the syndicate wouldn't let him publish. Unsurprisingly. That said, I think the censored version is actually much better written.) (I'm also rather surprised that the syndicate lets him publish the comics on his own site, but that's beside the point.)

I think you underestimate the power and longevity of Jonathan Livingston Seagull as a Crappy Cultural Meme.

Also, yes, Vince is his own company. He has a page on Wikipedia, natch.

Crappy Cultural Meme nonwithstanding, I had nearly 99% of it by memory at one time. Richard Harris recorded it and I loved it all unreasoning-like. I only years later found a copy of the book and summarily disregarded the few parts that were omitted from the audio version. I could probably still cough up most of it, with a few cues here and there to get the order right. My cassette is so old, both sides of the tape have started to sound like each other.

I'm not saying it's a good superpower.... gather ye treacle while ye may.

Re car with horse's head, the girl (does she have any other name than "Girl"?) is not making this up.
