Ah, well.
Sad thing is, the Bears can say that they have stuck to their "We only suck every other week" credo, because they were off last week. That this results in two seriously stinky games in a row is entirely beside the point.
Elsewhere in the sporting world, the White Sox are going to start their series against the Angels this Tuesday. The baseball punditry, serenely ignoring all their predictions for a Red Sox/Yankees ALCS, are now generally picking the White Sox to win in anywhere from 4-6 games.
I will therefore swim against the tide and pick the Angels in a 7-game series. (Because picking the White Sox is just insane. That they managed to win has more to do with the Red Sox' hitting going walkabout for this series than anything else, and the Red Sox never quite recovered from being so thoroughly dismantled in the first game. The White Sox' pitching seems to be doing well, but aside from the first game, their hitting never showed much in that series.)
(Besides, I picked the Red Sox in six last time. And look at what happened! So, clearly, picking the Angels might actually mean that the White Sox will win. Although if they do, I only ask that they win the World Series in either Houston or St Louis on a day when it's pouring rain here, because, again, living near Riot Central is just no fun.)
