More seriously, combined with Moscow police detaining and beating people demonstrating for the right to present a petition to have a gay rights parade (not the actual parade, you understand; they were just trying to get the mayor's office to accept a freakin' petition), I think we can safely say that eastern Europe, or significant portions thereof, are Very Bad Places to be gay these days.
