I was going to review Chicanos at some point, but what with the lack of reviewing lately, it kind of ... didn't happen much. And then someone got to it before me anyway.
Prep Time Posse: Chicanos
It is, of course, moderately expensive (because, hey, IDW), but definitely worth it.
They don't mention, and may not have known about, the essential weirdness of the series. Both the writer, Carlos Trillo and the artist, Eduardo Risso were born in Argentina, but did the bulk of their publishing in France. Chicanos takes place in NYC, as noted, involving American Chicanos. It was originally published in France, in French, and had to be translated into English to be sold here.
